05 Why Bluestem

Fewer dogs in the building, better grooms on the table

Four choices that shape every appointment.

01

One groomer per dog

The person who checks your dog in does the bath, the cut and the handoff. No assembly line.

02

Text when ready

You get a text the moment your dog is finished. Typical time in the building is two to three hours, not all day.

03

Notes kept per dog

Blade settings, trouble spots and what keeps your dog calm are written down, so every visit starts where the last one ended.

04

Honest matting calls

If a coat can't be safely brushed out, we tell you before we cut and walk you through the options.

06 The salon

Built for dogs who hate being rushed.

Bluestem is a small salon in Oklahoma City with two grooming tables and no kennel bank. Dogs are booked in staggered slots so each one is worked start to finish and picked up soon after.

Owners drive in from Edmond, Norman and Midwest City — mostly doodles, double coats and seniors who need a slower pace. Notes on every dog — clipper settings, sore spots, what calms them — are kept on file for next time.

07 Book a groom

Tell us the breed, coat and last groom date

Send your dog's breed, coat condition and when they were last groomed. We'll quote a starting price and book a slot with the right amount of table time.

08 Contact

Send a photo of the coat. We'll quote it straight.

Text or call with the breed, a photo of the coat and the date of the last groom. If matting means a shave-down, we'll say so before you book.
